VR Maker Space
Located on the first floor of the Hakka Cultural College, the Hakka Creative Space has 10 Mac Pro computers, 2 HTC VIVE (high-end), 1 Oculus Rift (high-end), 2 Gear VR (low-end), 1 VR eye-tracker, 9 Gear 360 (low-end), 1 GoPro Omni 360-degree surround view camera (high-end), 1 ZOOM H6 digital recorder, and an Ultimatte HD SDI hardware decoder, in order to serve the students to have a diversified learning environment. 1 GoPro Omni 360-degree Surround Camera (high level), ZOOM H6 Digital Recorder and Ultimatte HD-SDI Hardware De-Booter. The course covers 3D modeling, VR360 photography and post-production, video preview, VR production, AR production, Virtual Studio video production, virtual reality storytelling, etc. The course aims to enhance the students’ ability in virtual reality development and creation (including virtual reality applications, augmented reality applications, mobile app development, virtual studio production, etc.), and to provide them with the opportunity to create virtually in the physical space. This course provides opportunities for virtual creation in the physical space, in order to solidly cultivate cutting-edge research and development in new media integration and digitization.
