This course aims to establish the basic concepts and skills of feature film creation, and aims to create a feature film with a story structure, and students are required to propose to produce a 10 to 30-minute feature film as the final work of the course in groups.
The course content package has four main themes:
1. The theme of this unit of “The Development of Feature Films and Film Style Analysis” includes: Introduction to the history of film development and understanding of film styles at each stage, students need to conduct in-depth research on the development of films at each stage and put forward research reports.
2. “Storytelling and Script Writing” This module covers the principles and skills of storytelling, as well as screenwriting. In this unit, students are required to create a story, synopsis and script.
3. “Video Aesthetics and Video Language” The course content of this stage includes: In order to introduce the director’s aesthetic style and lens shooting design, students need to make a shooting script and storyboard, and explain the design of film structure, editing planning, color grading, special effects editing and dubbing.
4. “Film Planning and Proposal Writing”: This unit aims to understand the execution script of the film shooting and the writing of the planning plan, learn all the production processes from the proposal of the film proposal to the completion of the film, and plan the publicity strategy for the public broadcast.
Course Objectives:
1. Have a comprehensive understanding of the planning, execution, production, and promotion of feature film production.
2. Familiar with independent film production, script writing, shooting and post-production, and complete a film.
3. Understand the value and appropriateness of the film, and be able to create the desired effect of the film.
4. Cultivate the ability to consider the whole of feature film production.
