Academic Consortium

The Department of Communication and Technology at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, as a member of the Asian Alliance of Communication Research among top universities, co-hosts the “Honours Symposium for Graduate Students in Communication Research in Asia” with Yonsei University and Korea University in South Korea, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, and City University of Hong Kong.

The 11th symposium was held in 2023 at the Liujia Campus in Zhubei, Hsinchu County. It covered diverse topics, including political communication, virtual applications, freedom of speech and regulation, media interaction, and audience studies, with participation from several renowned international scholars.

Through such international conferences, the Department is steadily gaining global recognition while providing students and faculty with invaluable opportunities to engage with leading global scholars. This initiative aims to enhance academic research quality and broaden horizons in the field of communication studies.

Conferences

The 2024 Asian Alliance of Communication Research Symposium was held at City University of Hong Kong, bringing together faculty and students from five universities for academic presentations and exchanges.
