Application Process
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the requirements specified in the latest version of the “Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan” announced by the Ministry of Education. Applicants’ status as international students is defined under Article 2 of the above regulations. Regarding the definition of Republic of China nationality, refer to Article 2 of the Nationality Act of the Republic of China. If a violation of these regulations is verified, the applicant’s admission, student status, or degree will be immediately revoked. The university will not issue any academic certification. International students holding a bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply for admission to the university’s master’s program.
Required Documents
- Application Form
- Study Plan (Must include a proposed course plan and be written in Chinese.)
- Certificate of Highest Educational Level (Certified translation is required if the original certificate is not in Chinese or English.)
- Transcripts of Highest Educational Level (Must include a description of the grading system, GPA, and class or school ranking. Certified translation is required if the original transcript is not in Chinese or English.)
- Two Letters of Recommendation
- Proof of English Language Proficiency: Must meet the following standards:
- TOEFL-PBT: 500 or above
- TOEFL-iBT: 73 or above
- IELTS (Academic): 5.5 or above
- TOEIC: 750 or above
- Proof of Chinese Language Proficiency (Including listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.)
- Proof of Financial Ability (Such as a scholarship award certificate or bank deposit certificate, to be submitted at registration.)
- Passport or Other Proof of Nationality
- Taiwan Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) (If applicable.)
Important Notes
- Confirm your eligibility as an international student.
- Fill out the online application form on the Office of International Affairs (OIA) website and print all related forms.
- Prepare the required application documents and ensure that the application form and declaration form are signed.
- Gather all application materials and submit them by post or in person to the following address before the application deadline: Office of International Admissions, Office of International Affairs, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (No. 1001, University Road, Hsinchu 300, Taiwan)
