Exchange Students

The Department of Communication and Technology at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University actively establishes partnerships with leading universities worldwide, including institutions in Asia, Western Europe, and Nordic countries such as Sweden and Finland. These collaborations provide students with valuable opportunities for international study, academic exchange, and research cooperation across the globe.
To support students’ living expenses abroad, the university offers various scholarships, encouraging active participation in cross-border exchange programs. These experiences not only enrich students’ academic perspectives but also enhance their cross-cultural communication skills, contributing significantly to personal growth and future career development.
The department offers multiple pathways for student exchange, including programs at the university, college, and University System of Taiwan levels. Each year, the Office of International Affairs (Oia) announces the list of partner institutions available for exchange in mid to late October. Students must first meet the application requirements, then rank up to ten preferred schools and prepare the necessary documents specified by the partner institutions.
Exchange applications typically need to be submitted two semesters in advance. After acceptance and during the exchange period, students are required to submit regular reflection reports. Upon returning, they are often invited to participate in sharing sessions to help other students interested in studying abroad gain insights into the exchange experience and life overseas.
*For application guidelines, please refer to the Regulations for College-Level Student Exchange Programs. The exact application deadline is subject to the announcement on the college office website for each academic year.
