Course Framework

The curriculum of the Department of Communication and Technology is based on the core courses in the areas of basic literacy, communication theory, and communication skills. In addition to the integration of “Integrated Digital Media Practicum,” the department has developed three major modules: Media Creation Group, Strategic Communication Group, and Digital Design Group. The minimum number of credits for graduation is 128, and students are required to complete at least 9 credits from each of the three modules.

  1. Required courses total 45 credits.
  2. One module must be chosen as the major, and at least three courses (three out of six) from that module must be taken for a total of nine credits. At least 3 electives in professionalism, totaling 9 credits (excluding the Media Production Special Topic). Comprehensive electives may be taken across grade levels, but if the instructor has a grade level or other prerequisite requirement, the requirement will apply.
  3. 9 credits of College Core Curriculum.
  4. Minimum of 24 credits in the University Common Curriculum.
  5. 32 credits of other free electives (may take other major modular courses, integrated electives, or interdisciplinary programs in the department).
