These Bylaws shall come into force after adoption by the General Meeting of the Members and shall be amended accordingly.
General

The name of the association is “National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University Department of Communicaiton and Technology Alumni Association”, hereinafter referred to as the association.

The purpose of the Association is to promote emotional exchanges among departmental friends, to stimulate academic performance, and to promote the development of academics and the department.

The Association is located in the Department of Communicaiton and Technology of National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University Department of Communicaiton and Technology.

The Association holds a general meeting every two years, chaired by the President. If necessary, the president or one-half or more of the members may co-sign to convene an interim general meeting.

Member
- All graduates of National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University Department of Communicaiton and Technology are the basic members of the Association.
- Students who are currently enrolled in the National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University Department of Communicaiton and Technology are the student members of the Association.
- All former or current faculty members of National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University Department of Communicaiton and Technology are honorary members of the Association.
- Any former or current faculty member of the National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University Department of Communicaiton and Technology shall be recognized as an honorary member of the ACTC upon the recommendation of two members and the approval of the Board of Directors.
- Those who have graduated from other departments or institutes of National Yang Ming University of Transportation and Communications are recommended by two members and approved by the board of directors to be the basic members of the Association.
- Anyone who has made special contributions to the dissemination of science and technology-related academic research or to the affairs of the Association shall be recognized as an Honorary Member of the Association by the Board of Directors after a recommendation signed by three or more members of the Board of Directors and a detailed list of the special contributions made.
Organization
- The highest authority of the Association shall be the General Meeting. The Board of Directors shall be the executive body and shall act on behalf of the Association when the General Meeting is not in session. The Supervisory Board is the supervisory body.
- The Association shall have ten directors and five supervisors, who shall be elected by the general meeting of the members for a term of two years and shall be eligible for re-election. In the event of a vacancy in the Board of Directors and Supervisors, the Board of Directors and Supervisors shall be replaced in order of precedence, and the term of office shall be limited to the remainder of the original term of office.
- The Dean of the Department shall be an ex-officio honorary member of the Board of Trustees and shall have the same powers and duties as the other members of the Board of Trustees.
- There shall be an Executive Council, consisting of six members elected by and from among the members of the Council for a term of two years. In addition, there shall be two Student Executive Councilors, who shall be the President and Vice-President of the Departmental Society, and who shall hold office for one year.
- The Association shall have a President, who shall be elected by and from among the Executive Council members for a term of two years, and shall be eligible for re-election once. He/she shall be responsible for conducting the affairs of the Association and shall be the chairman of the General Assembly, the Board of Governors, and the Executive Council, and shall designate one of the Executive Council members to act as the chairman in the event that the President is unable to attend the General Assembly.
- The Association shall have a permanent supervisor, who shall be elected by and from among the supervisors for a term of two years, and shall be reelected for one consecutive term. He/she shall be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day affairs of the Association and shall act as the chairman of the Supervisory Board meetings, and shall designate one of the Supervisors to act as the chairman of the Association in the event that the Chairman of the Board of Directors is not able to attend the meetings.
- There shall be a Secretary General of the Association, who shall be appointed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors to handle the affairs of the Association, and who shall be nominated by the Chairman of the Board of Directors and be appointed or removed by the Board of Directors after the Board of Directors has approved the nomination.

- To formulate and amend the bylaws of the Association.
- Elect directors and supervisors.
- Receive reports from the directors and supervisors.
- Discuss related business.
- Other matters.

Funding comes from membership dues, donations, interest, and grants from related organizations.
