On October 20, the 113-level media internship exhibition “Between the Media” of the Department of Communication and Technology of the Department of Communication and Technology of Yangming Chiao Tung University (hereinafter referred to as the Department of Communication and Technology) was held in the B1 International Conference Hall of Haoran Library of Yangming Jiaotong University to showcase the results of students’ two-month internship this summer.
In the past few years, due to the impact of the epidemic, the first two internship exhibitions of the Department of Communication were held online. This internship exhibition is presented in physical form for the first time in three years, and without the inheritance experience of previous sessions, the preparation process has encountered many difficulties in the past six months, but fortunately, the students have worked together to make this internship exhibition can be held as scheduled.
In recent years, the concept of “multiverse” has run through many works in the film and television industry, and has also opened everyone’s curiosity and conjecture about the infinite possibilities of time and space. This summer, 40 juniors to seniors tried out various roles in various media internship units to get a glimpse of what the future will look like.
Under the concept of the multiverse, “Between the Media” has become the theme of this media internship exhibition, and the emotions conveyed through “Between the Eyebrows” contain the challenges and joys and sorrows we face in the internship unit. The homonym “medium” emphasizes that media is to the world what we are to the multiverse: every time we make a decision, an infinite number of futures will arise and develop into different universes.

The exhibition was held in the form of a sharing session, with performances and preludes as a warm-up, and the venue was divided into two areas: a stage sharing area and a display area. Through the one-and-a-half-minute self-introduction of each person in the stage area, visitors can write down the work they are interested in, and then go to the exhibition area to listen to the students participating in the internship to share and explain in detail. In the exhibition hall, a video of the internship experience interview will be played, and the whole event will be videotaped, and the highlight photos and video of the whole event will be released within two weeks after the end of the event.

As communication technology has gradually become an indicator tool to lead the world’s kinetic energy, real-time grasp of the dynamics and connotation of media work has become one of the skills that students studying in the field of communication urgently need to have. In addition to being able to fully absorb the theoretical knowledge learned on campus, practicing the integration with the workplace and the actual in-depth understanding of media operations should also be a compulsory credit. During the summer vacation of 2022, the second-year students of the Department of Communication stepped out of the campus to experience the joys and hardships of the workplace, and held a media internship exhibition after the summer vacation to showcase the best results of their internships to the faculty and students of the department, students from other departments of Yangming Jiao Tong University, and related media practitioners.
