The Department of Communication and Technology at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University invites applications for open rank/tenure track positions. We pursue excellence in the field of communication technology, particularly focusing on the areas of media production, strategic communication, and digital design. The successful candidate will deliver teaching for our bachelor’s and master’s programs, supervise postgraduate and undergraduate students and advance our research agendas. Applicants must show a strong research background and a commitment to effective teaching. (See: Appendix 1)
- Areas of interest:
(1) Communication/media policies and management
(2) Computational communication, AI and digital content production
(4) Other research areas related to communication technologies
- Position: Open rank (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor)
- The appointment will begin on August 1st, 2025.
- Qualification:
(1) A PhD degree in communication or other related fields (Candidates with ABD status will also be considered)
(2) Researchers or faculty in other universities or research institutes 5. Documents Required

- Dissertation (Only for those who are not yet an Assistant/Associate/Full Professor)
- Samples of research: Articles published in the past 5 years (maximum: 5 articles)
(3) Courses and Academic Planning
- Statement of research interests and future research agenda
- 3 syllabi (Please refer to our course plans. Please provide at least two syllabi for our required/elective courses; one required course and one elective course.)
(4) Letters of recommendation
- 2 recommendation letters are required for applicants who are not yet an Assistant Professor. The sealed letters should be sent or emailed as PDF files to the chair of the department directly by the referees.
- For applicants who are already an Assistant/Associate/Full Professor, please provide the names and contact information of two references.
