2012 Visual Journalism Workshop
With the technological innovation in the media industries, the print medium such as newspaper and magazines have encounter the strong impact of this trend. In order to catch up with multimedia platform competitions in the news industry, the traditional print medium come to the intersection of how to work with both text and graphics which becomes an important technique to the media technology convergence and development.
Therefore, this year Department of Communication and Technology held 2012 Visual Journalism Workshop inviting the art director of National Geographic Magazine, Juan Velasco and Director Society of News Design Chinese, Lily Lu to deliver actual cases in the global news industry and gave the practical instruction know-how of infographic news production.
The workshop this year took place successfully with participants including the supervisors, editors and journalists who mostly are from print medium.
